Phuket Diving Season

The really best diving conditions you will have – normally – from end of October till the end of April. The winds if there are any will come from the north-east and are mild to moderate. However often in November the wind can still be strong enough to produce some big waves.

May and June can have lots of rain – relatively. But on Phuket if it rains – at the mentioned time of the year it is usually short and heavy and one hour later the sun is back.

July and August bring the better weather – especially the last 2 years the weather and scuba diving conditions on Phuket were world-class: blue sky, no winds, no waves and excellent visibility.

September and October can be the same again as May and June – unpredictable. And the winds can be the strongest of the year. With the winds you will get bigger waves. This will affect less the diving conditions the the divers themselves. The hard thing about the waves can be the boat ride to the dive sites around Phuket.
