Scuba diving around the dive sites of Phuket offers almost everything divers are dreaming of seeing one day. One creature that manages nevertheless to be a rare sighting for the majority of the divers is the seahorse.

One of the main reason for this – you need to be guided by a dive guide who knows where to look for seahorses. And the dive guide must have developed a keen eye for the seahorses as well. They are well camouflaged and only trained eyes can spot the seahorses.

Phuket Diving Seahorse

There are few dive sites around Phuket you have a good chance to see seahorses. You can find them on all the dive sites around Phuket like Phi Phi Islands, Bida Islands, Racha Islands and Koh Doc Mai – even on the King Cruiser wreck divers have spotted seahorses.

The best chance however is certainly Shark Point Phuket. With an experienced dive guider – in PADI terms called a Divemaster you might be even lucky to see not only one – maybe 2 or even 3 different seahorses.
